More Moments from First Grade

Student 1: "Wow, I wish we were in Mexico today so that we could celebrate Cinco de Mayo!"
Student 2: "No way, I wouldn't want to be in Mexico."
Miss Ryder: "Why not?"
Student 2: "I'd probably get Swine Flu."

Today was one of those days! :)

I love these posts you post. It's funny because when I was teaching, there were so many moments like these that I wanted to remember and write down, but forgot to, thus I forgot the sweet sayings of these kiddos. Good for you to remember them. =) You're such a great teacher. I'll bet your students just adore you!!! I know I do.

I wonder does this little one realize that the schools are closed in Mexico? He may be willing to face Swine Flu for that. :)

Hi Joana,

I've been following your blog, and I think it is high time that I comment! :) I'm very excited about meeting you and Rachel (hopefully this Saturday)!

I know we'll have lots to talk about - It's so cool that you are a teacher, and I'm studying to be one! I love reading what your little first graders say! So cute and fun. :)

See ya soon!
